If you didn't already know, the Titanic disaster as it was portrayed in James Cameron's 1997 Blockbuster Titanic was my novel experience with historical events. As a five year old child, I sat mere inches from my grandma's television and didn't move for 3 hours and 14 minutes. I was then gifted James Horner's soundtrack, as well as Celion Dion's Let's Talk About Love album which featured the epic My Heart Will Go On, to blare in my casette player. It is with great pleasure that I share with you my mini podcast, Totally Titanic!
Want to know what it was like for the brave coal stokers of Boiler Room No. 6 when the water tight bulkhead burst and the men scrambled for the exit? This film is a dramatization of actual responses from Titanic survivors during the New York inquiry in 1912. At the hour and two minute mark, you will get to visualize what Frederick William Barrett experienced as he was asked to stay behind to help while watching others flee to the lifeboats. This hour and 26 minute Curiosity episode is brought to us from the University of Phoenix.
How interested are you in the Titanic disaster after listening to the Totally Titanic Podcast?

My Experience with Titanic and the White Star Line 🚢 🌊

"Heartbreak pier" located in Cobh, Ireland (Queenstown) Titanic's final stop for passengers.

The actual advertisement for Titanic tickets that would have been hung at the White Star Line Office, downtown Queenstown, Ireland.

Actual lifejacket taken from the Atlantic on the morning of April 15th, 1912. Along with the list of those who perished behind. Photo taken by Taylor Northwood at the Titanic Museum, Belfast, Ireland.

Touring the last White Star Line ship in existence. The SS Nomadic was built from 1910-11 by Harland and Wolff. So many similar features between this ship and Titanic. It was an absolute honour to experience a White Star Line ship.
